Turtle Bags

This week we want to share with you yet another way to help our planet to thrive! Have you heard about the amazing Turtle Bags? Besides being a great product, they have a beautiful story.

How all started

Sit back, relax, and let us take you to 2001. A time when reusable wasn’t as trendy as it is today. The birth year of Turtle Bags, an English company that wanted to end the poisoning of sea life caused by the plastic found in the Oceans. We’ve all seen heart-breaking photos of turtles and other animals that get trapped in plastic for years. Sadly, the clever reason for this wonderful company’s name is that turtles tend to eat more plastic bags than any other animal because they mistake them for jellyfish. Not quite as delicious, this mistake can be deadly. This has catastrophic consequences for the marine ecosystem. Let’s not forget where we get our oxygen from!

5 types of turtles venture in English waters alone. The most common being the leatherback turtle, a planet earth resident for over 100 million years.

How can we stop feeding this problem?

Remember, every time you refuse a plastic bag you are allowing amazing creatures like these to grow stronger.
To make it easier, next time you go shopping take a turtle bag! They are eco-friendly, super cool, and very organic. But don’t think the story ends here.

These bags are also fair-trade and ethically produced! Turtle Bags works with small businesses in India and provides a fair wage and healthcare to their workers.

The cherry on top: they are already available on our website!

We hope you enjoyed this vegan, ethically made, plastic-free gem. If you’re feeling like supporting this cause on another way, here you can support the Marine conservation society, and here you can adopt a turtle!

Slowly but surely, we will build a beautiful world for every bit of life in it.

Have a beautiful day,

NAE
